Andreas Constantinou. Jury “Young Orpheus”

Andreas Constantinou (violin) was born in Limassol. He is a highly skilled teacher and a talented musician whose name is well-known in the musical community. He studied at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, where he was trained under the guidance of the renowned violinist Leonid Kogan, and later continued his studies with Kogan’s assistant, the world-famous violinist Ambarcumyan.

For many years, Andreas served in the Cyprus State Symphony Orchestra, where he held the position of lead violinist for 15 years. He is also one of the founding members of the orchestra. As a teacher, Andreas has raised an entire generation of talented violinists.

His exceptional mastery and deep knowledge have led to numerous invitations to serve as the chairman of juries at various music competitions and festivals. He has also conducted master classes in countries such as Cyprus and Kosovo, and frequently performs as a soloist as well as in chamber ensembles.
