
John Chatzinikolaou (flute) born in Volos -Greece in 1982. He began his musical studies as a flautist at the behest of his father
Chatzinikolaou Nikolaos (guitarist) from where his musical beliefs helped him choose his flute as an instrument at the age of eight years old in the Greek Conservatory of Volos in 1989. After 4 years in 1992 enrolled at the Municipal Conservatory of Volos from where he graduated as a graduate with honors in November 2008 with the teacher ‘Hera Tsoukla.
From 1999 to 2008 he participated in many domestic and international competitions.
He has participated in seminars in Greece and abroad with renowned teachers and virtuosos such as (Panagiotis Drakos, MARC GRAUELS, ILIE MAKOBEI, ELIAS Barbaso etc.) Even took part in 3 MASTER CLASSES LES RENCONTRES MUSICALES INTERNATIONALES teacher MARK CRAUWELS
Since 1995 was an active member of the Philharmonic Municipality of Volos to 2007, he was still an active member of the symphony orchestra of the Municipality of Volos in 1999 as in other symphony of Greece with major conductors such as (GEORGE Socket, SYMEON Kogan, ALEXANDER MYRAT, NICK TSOUCHLOS, NICK CHRISTODOULOU ALKIS BALTAS, GEORGE CHATZINIKOS, Thanasis Athanasiou, ALEXEY NYAGA) with many concerts throughout Greece (ATHENS CONCERT HALL CONCERT HALL THESSALONIKI HERODION lykavittos LAMIAS THEATRE THEATRE THEATRE TRIKALA LARISA THEATRE LARNACA etc)
He has collaborated with renowned soloists and performers from Greece and abroad (MARC GRAUELS, ΛΕΩΝΙΔΑΣ, ΚΑΒΑΚΟΣ, ΣΤΕΦΑΝΟΣ, ΚΟΡΚΟΛΗΣ, ΚΩΣΤΑΣ, ΚΟΤΣΙΩΛΗΣ, NIKOLASKYNASTON, Giorgos Lazaridis, ARTURO SANDOVAL, Dimitris SGOUROS, NTINOS MASTROGIANNIS, Dimitra Galani, PETROS GA’I’TANOS, LEKKAS VASILIS NIKOS PARTHENIS, ‘ALKISTIS PROTOPSALTI, GEORGE NTALARAS, GLYKERIA). Even participated in recordings Greek traditional, artistic and contemporary music both record productions and recordings to music for television, theater and cinema.
Participation in traditional orchestra “Estudiantina” was aimed at learning the traditional music of virtuoso musicians which with passion and dedication demonstrated the art of traditional Greek music. His participation in traditional orchestras and his reflection on how to participate more actively in these orchestras was the beginning to start a tanning instrument for him in 2018 with teacher Stavroula Tryfiatis, “Kaval”.
A pigeon flute which is one of the fine instruments with rich old history in the dance of the musical tradition of Greece. Since September 2008 he has been living in Cyprus which deals with what staff member of the Limassol Municipality Philharmonic as a teacher in the department of flute. Even teaches many of the Conservatories of Limassol and Paphos and has participated as a performer in several orchestras of classical, traditional and contemporary music of Cyprus and he participates in recordings of Greek traditional, artistic and modern music in both
